1. And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
这些事以后，神要试验亚伯拉罕，就呼叫他说，亚伯拉罕，他说，我在这里。

2. If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
人若偷牛或羊，无论是宰了，是卖了，他就要以五牛赔一牛，四羊赔一羊。

3. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
耶和华对摩西说，

4. And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho.
以色列人起行，在摩押平原，约旦河东，对着耶利哥安营。

5. Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
你若看见弟兄的牛或羊失迷了路，不可佯为不见，总要把它牵回来交给你的弟兄。

6. Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
当时，约书亚召了流便人，迦得人，和玛拿西半支派的人来，

7. David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.
大卫就离开那里，逃到亚杜兰洞。他的弟兄和他父亲的全家听见了，就都下到他那里。

8. And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
当耶和华救大卫脱离一切仇敌和扫罗之手的日子，他向耶和华念这诗，

9. And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.
亚兰国和以色列国三年没有争战。

10. Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.
约西亚登基的时候年八岁，在耶路撒冷作王三十一年。他母亲名叫耶底大，是波斯加人亚大雅的女儿。

11. And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
大卫吩咐聚集住以色列地的外邦人，从其中派石匠凿石头，要建造神的殿。

12. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.
耶路撒冷的居民立约兰的小儿子亚哈谢接续他作王。因为跟随阿拉伯人来攻营的军兵曾杀了亚哈谢的众兄长。这样，犹大王约兰的儿子亚哈谢作了王。

13. Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
毯螅人以利法回答说，

14. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
我的神，我的神，为什么离弃我。为什么远离不救我，不听我唉哼的言语。

15. A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
美名胜过大财，恩宠强如金银。

16. The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops?
论异象谷的默示。有什么事使你这满城的人都上房顶呢。

17. Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,
耶和华如此说，你下到犹大王的宫中，在那里说这话，

18. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
耶和华的话又临到我说，

19. And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
耶稣又用比喻对他们说，

20. Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
除酵节，又名逾越节，近了。

21. Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.
诸位父兄请听，我现在对你们分诉。

22. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
天使又指示我在城内街道当中一道生命水的河，明亮如水晶，从神和羔羊的宝座流出来。
