1. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
因为神知道,你们吃的日子眼睛就明亮了,你们便如神能知道善恶。

2. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
神说,不要近前来。当把你脚上的鞋脱下来,因为你所站之地是圣地。

3. And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
亚伦的子孙要把这些烧在坛的燔祭上,就是在火的柴上,是献与耶和华为馨香的火祭。

4. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
耶和华晓谕摩西说,

5. All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.
这些城都有坚固的高墙,有门有闩。此外还有许多无城墙的乡村。

6. And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you.
约书亚吩咐百姓说,你们要自洁,因为明天耶和华必在你们中间行奇事。

7. And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
以色列人竟住在迦南人,赫人,亚摩利人,比利洗人,希未人,耶布斯人中间,

8. And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.
路得说,凡你所吩咐的,我必遵行。

9. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.
就跑到以利那里,说,你呼唤我。我在这里。以利回答说,我没有呼唤你,你去睡吧。他就去睡了。

10. And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron.
六子以特念是大卫的妻以格拉所生的。大卫这六个儿子都是在希伯仑生的。

11. In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
在基遍,夜间梦中,耶和华向所罗门显现,对他说,你愿我赐你什么。你可以求。

12. But it came to pass, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
亚哈死后,摩押王背叛以色列王。

13. And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel:
大卫在耶路撒冷所生的儿子是示米亚,朔吧,拿单,所罗门。这四人是亚米利的女儿拔书亚生的。

14. And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.
大殿的墙都用松木板遮蔽,又贴了精金,上面雕刻棕树和链子。

15. And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.
其后献常献的燔祭,并在月朔与耶和华的一切圣节献祭,又向耶和华献各人的甘心祭。

16. And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their LORD.
其次是提哥亚人修造。但是他们的贵胄不用肩(肩原文作颈项)担他们主的工作。

17. And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
哈曼见末底改不跪不拜,他就怒气填胸。

18. Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
愿黑暗和死荫索取那日。愿密云停在其上。愿日蚀恐吓它。

19. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
我躺下睡觉。我醒着。耶和华都保佑我。

20. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
你要专心仰赖耶和华,不可倚靠自己的聪明。

21. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
抛掷石头有时,堆聚石头有时。怀抱有时,不怀抱有时。

22. I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
耶路撒冷的众女子阿,我指着羚羊,或田野的母鹿嘱咐你们,不要惊动,不要叫醒我所亲爱的,等他自己情愿(不要叫醒云云或作不要激动爱情等它自发)。

23. And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
百姓要彼此欺压,各人受邻舍的欺压。少年人必侮慢老年人,卑贱人必侮慢尊贵人。

24. But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
我且照着人的常话说,我们的不义,若显出神的义来,我们可以怎吗说呢。神降怒,是他不义吗。

25. Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
耶和华岂永远怀怒,存留到底吗。看哪,你又发恶言又行坏事,随自己的私意而行(或作你虽这样说还是行恶放纵欲心)。

26. He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
他筑垒攻击我,用苦楚(原文作苦胆)和艰难围困我。

27. For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;
你奉差遣不是往那说话深奥,言语难懂的民那里去,乃是往以色列家去。

28. That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
你们一听见角,笛,琵琶,琴,瑟,笙,和各样乐器的声音,就当俯伏敬拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

29. Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
后来以色列人必归回(或作回心转意),寻求他们的神耶和华,和他们的王大卫。在末后的日子,必以敬畏的心归向耶和华,领受他的恩惠。

30. Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:
你们既然夺取我的金银,又将我可爱的宝物带入你们宫殿,(或作庙中),

31. Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
若没有机槛,雀鸟岂能陷在网罗里呢。网罗若无所得,岂能从地上翻起呢。

32. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
尼尼微人信服神,便宣告禁食,从最大的到至小的,都穿麻衣(或作披上麻布)。

33. Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
论到使我民走差路的先知,他们牙齿有所嚼的,他们就呼喊说,平安了。凡不供给他们吃的,他们就预备攻击他(预备攻击他或作说必遭遇刀兵)耶和华如此说,

34. Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
万军之耶和华说,我与你为敌。我必揭起你的衣襟,蒙在你脸上,使列国看见你的赤体,使列邦观看你的丑陋。

35. Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
在他前面有瘟疫流行,在他脚下有热症发出。

36. The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.
耶和华在她中间是公义的,断不做非义的事,每早晨显明他的公义,无日不然。只是不义的人不知羞耻。

37. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
我说,要将洁净的冠冕戴在他头上。他们就把洁净的冠冕戴在他头上,给他穿上华美的衣服,耶和华的使者在旁边站立。

38. And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
万军之耶和华说,我必临近你们,施行审判。我必速速作见证,警戒行邪术的,犯奸淫的,起假誓的,亏负人之工价的,欺压寡妇孤儿的,屈枉寄居的,和不敬畏我的。

39. Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
那时,耶路撒冷和犹太全地,并约旦河一带地方的人,都出去到约翰那里。

40. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
耶稣怒目周围看他们,忧愁他们的心刚硬,就对那人说,伸出手来。他把手一伸,手就复了原。

41. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
一切山洼都要填满,大小山冈都要削平。弯弯曲曲的地方要改为正直,高高低低的道路要改为平坦。

42. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
耶稣说,我实实在在的告诉你,人若不是从水和圣灵生的,就不能进神的国。

43. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
那人就留意看他们,指望得着什么。

44. Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
亚波罗算什么。保罗算什么。无非是执事,照主所赐给他们各人的,引导你们相信。

45. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
并不是我们凭自己能承担什么事,我们所能承担的,乃是出于神。

46. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
那赐给你们圣灵,又在你们中间行异能的,是因你们行律法呢,是因你们听信福音呢。

47. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
这奥秘在以前的世代,没有叫人知道,像如今藉着圣灵启示他的圣使徒和先知一样。

48. Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
我第八天受割礼,我是以色列族,便雅悯支派的人,是希伯来人所生的希伯来人。就律法说,我是法利赛人。

49. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
所以要治死你们在地上的肢体。就如淫乱,污秽,邪情,恶欲,和贪婪,贪婪就与拜偶像一样。

50. For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
为此,我既不能再忍,就打发人去,要晓得你们的信心如何,恐怕那诱惑人的到底诱惑了你们,叫我们的劳苦归于徒然。

51. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
愿主引导你们的心,叫你们爱神并学基督的忍耐。

52. (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
人若不知道管理自己的家,焉能照管神的教会呢。

53. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
有敬虔的外貌,却背了敬虔的实意。这等人你要躲开。

54. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
他便救了我们,并不是因我们自己所行的义,乃是照他的怜悯,藉着重生的洗,和圣灵的更新。

55. And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
摩西为仆人,在神的全家诚然尽忠,为要证明将来必传说的事。

56. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
这样,舌头在百体里也是最小的,却能说大话。看哪,最小的火能点着最大的树林。

57. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
因为古时仰赖神的圣洁妇人,正是以此为妆饰,顺服自己的丈夫。

58. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
他们故意忘记,从太古凭神的命有了天,并从水而出藉水而成的地。

59. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
你们知道主曾显现,是要除掉人的罪。在他并没有罪。

60. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
凡得胜的,必这样穿白衣。我也必不从生命册上涂抹他的名。且要在我父面前,和我父众使者面前认他的名。
