1. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
耶和华对亚伯兰说，你要的确知道，你的后裔必寄居别人的地，又服事那地的人。那地的人要苦待他们四百年。

2. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
你凭慈爱，领了你所赎的百姓，你凭能力，引他们到了你的圣所。

3. And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.
患漏症的人痊愈了，就要为洁净自己计算七天，也必洗衣服，用活水洗身，就洁净了。

4. All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
凡本地人将馨香的火祭献给耶和华，都要这样办理。

5. And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
你任他自由的时候，不可使他空手而去，

6. And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.
约书亚照耶和华所吩咐的，将犹大人中的一段地，就是基列亚巴，分给耶孚尼的儿子迦勒。亚巴是亚衲族的始祖（基列亚巴就是希伯仑）。

7. And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
他们说，我们断不杀你，只要将你捆绑交在非利士人手中。于是用两条新绳捆绑参孙，将他从以坦磐带上去。

8. And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.
撒母耳到了扫罗那里，扫罗对他说，愿耶和华赐福与你，耶和华的命令我已遵守了。

9. And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.
有人报告大卫说，以色列人的心都归向押沙龙了。

10. And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
并且贬了他祖母玛迦太后的位，因她造了可憎的偶像亚舍拉。亚撒砍下她的偶像，烧在汲沦溪边，

11. Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
犹大王乌西雅（就是亚撒利雅）三十九年，雅比的儿子沙龙登基在撒马利亚作王一个月。

12. For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
因你们先前没有抬这约柜，按定例求问耶和华我们的神，所以他刑罚（原文作闯杀）我们。

13. That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
凡不寻求耶和华以色列神的，无论大小，男女，必被治死。

14. That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?
使你的灵反对神，也任你的口发这言语。

15. A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
心中喜乐，面带笑容。心里忧愁，灵被损伤。

16. Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.
我必因你在四境之内所犯的一切罪，把你的货物财宝当掠物，白白地交给仇敌。

17. But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
耶稣回答说，凡栽种的物，若不是我父栽种的，必要拔出来。

18. And they cried out again, Crucify him.
他们又喊着说，把他钉十字架。

19. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
过了不多几日，小儿子就把他一切所有的，都收拾起来，往远方去了。在那里任意放荡，浪费赀财。

20. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
人为朋友舍命，人的爱心没有比这个更大的。

21. And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
他们住了声，雅各就说，诸位弟兄，请听我的话。

22. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
但愿使人有盼望的神，因信将诸般的喜乐平安，充满你们的心，使你们藉着圣灵的能力，大有盼望。

23. But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
若没有死人复活的事，基督也就没有复活了。
