1. And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.
约阿施回答站着攻击他的众人说，你们是为巴力争论吗。你们要救他吗。谁为他争论，趁早将谁治死。巴力若果是神，有人拆毁他的坛，让他为自己争论吧。

2. And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.
又用橄榄木制造内殿的门扇，门楣，门框。门口有墙的五分之一。

3. Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.
王说，我今日若容沙法的儿子以利沙的头仍在他项上，愿神重重地降罚与我。

4. And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.
约柜安设之后，大卫派人在耶和华殿中管理歌唱的事。

5. That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
使他们在你赐给我们列祖之地上一生一世敬畏你，遵行你的道。

6. But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
若被找着，他必赔还七倍。必将家中所有的，尽都偿还。

7. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
所以不要忧虑，说，吃什么，喝什么，穿什么。

8. And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
他就说，你们来同我暗暗的到旷野地方去歇一歇。这是因为来往的人多，他们连吃饭也没有工夫。

9. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
你们愿意人怎样待你们，你们也要怎样待人。

10. Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
我们的祖宗在旷野吃过吗哪，如经上写着说，他从天上赐下粮来给他们吃。
