1. For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.
因耶和华为亚伯拉罕的妻子撒拉的缘故,已经使亚比米勒家中的妇人不能生育。

2. And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
众百姓见雷轰,闪电,角声,山上冒烟,就都发颤,远远地站立。

3. And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
妇人有月经,若与她同房,露了她的下体,就是露了妇人的血源,妇人也露了自己的血源,二人必从民中剪除。

4. And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.
以东王说,你不可从我的地经过,免得我带刀出去攻击你。

5. That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.
免得他们教导你们学习一切可憎恶的事,就是他们向自己神所行的,以致你们得罪耶和华你们的神。

6. And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.
以色列人就起来,到伯特利去求问神说,我们中间谁当首先上去与便雅悯人争战呢。耶和华说,犹大当先上去。

7. Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty.
约拿单对他说,明日是初一,你的座位空设,人必理会你不在那里。

8. Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.
妇人说,古时有话说,当先在亚比拉求问,然后事就定妥。

9. And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive.
他说,他们若为讲和出来,要活捉他们。若为打仗出来,也要活捉他们。

10. And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
并且从你本身所生的众子,其中必有被掳去在巴比伦王宫里当太监的。

11. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
约沙法就面伏于地,犹大众人和耶路撒冷的居民也俯伏在耶和华面前,叩拜耶和华。

12. That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
他劳碌得来的要赔还,不得享用(原文作吞下),不能照所得的财货欢乐。

13. Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
计谋都凭筹算立定。打仗要凭智谋。

14. Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
我为何出胎见劳碌愁苦,使我的年日因羞愧消灭呢。

15. But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
我在旷野对他们的儿女说,不要遵行你们父亲的律例,不要谨守他们的恶规,也不要因他们的偶像玷污自己。

16. Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
看哪,我们上耶路撒冷去,人子要被交给祭司长和文士。他们要定他死罪。

17. Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
凡掉在那石头上的,必要跌碎。那石头掉在谁的身上,就要把谁砸得稀烂。

18. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
抹大拉的马利亚就去告诉门徒说,我已经看见了主。他又将主对他说的这话告诉他们。

19. And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
他们来了,保罗就说,你们知道,自从我到亚细亚的日子以来,在你们中间始终为人如何,
