1. And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first battle.
以色列人临退阵的时候，便雅悯人动手杀死以色列人，约有三十个，就说，他们仍像前次被我们杀败了。

2. But the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and David knew the matter.
童子却不知道这是什么意思，只有约拿单和大卫知道。

3. And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
王从那里经过，他向王呼叫说，仆人在阵上的时候，有人带了一个人来，对我说，你看守这人，若把他失了，你的性命必代替他的性命。不然，你必交出一他连得银子来。

4. As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
以色列家阿，至于你们，主耶和华如此说，从此以后若不听从我，就任凭你们去事奉偶像，只是不可再因你们的供物和偶像亵渎我的圣名。

5. Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.
有几个文士说，夫子，你说得好。
