1. Therefore they turned their backs before the men of Israel unto the way of the wilderness; but the battle overtook them; and them which came out of the cities they destroyed in the midst of them.
他们在以色列人面前转身往旷野逃跑。以色列人在后面追杀。那从各城里出来的，也都夹攻杀灭他们。

2. And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.
约拿单对大卫说，我们二人曾指着耶和华的名起誓说，愿耶和华在你我中间，并你我后裔中间为证，直到永远。如今你平平安安地去吧。大卫就起身走了。约拿单也回城里去了。

3. And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Because thou hast let go out of thy hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.
他对王说，耶和华如此说，因你将我定要灭绝的人放去，你的命就必代替他的命，你的民也必代替他的民。

4. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.
我领你们进入以色列地，就是我起誓应许赐给你们列祖之地，那时你们就知道我是耶和华。

5. And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
诗篇上，大卫自己说，主对我主说，你坐在我的右边，
