1. Now there was an appointed sign between the men of Israel and the liers in wait, that they should make a great flame with smoke rise up out of the city.
以色列人预先同伏兵约定在城内放火，以烟气上腾为号。

2. And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan's lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.
约拿单又呼叫童子说，速速地去，不要迟延。童子就拾起箭来，回到主人那里。

3. So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with ashes upon his face.
他就去了，用头巾蒙眼，改换面目，在路旁等候王。

4. And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
我必从你们中间除净叛逆和得罪我的人，将他们从所寄居的地方领出来，他们却不得入以色列地。你们就知道我是耶和华。

5. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
神原不是死人的神，乃是活人的神。因为在他那里，人都是活的。那里或作看来

6. Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
叫他们最伤心的，就是他说，以后不能再见我的面那句话。于是送他上船去了。
