1. These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
闪的后代记在下面。洪水以后二年，闪一百岁生了亚法撒。

2. And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
摩西，亚伦在法老面前行了这一切奇事，耶和华使法老的心刚硬，不容以色列人出离他的地。

3. And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
凡在海里，河里，并一切水里游动的活物，无翅无鳞的，你们都当以为可憎。

4. Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.
摩西听见百姓各在各家的帐棚门口哭号。耶和华的怒气便大发作，摩西就不喜悦。

5. For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
你要进去得为业的那地，本不像你出来的埃及地。你在那里撒种，用脚浇灌，像浇灌菜园一样。

6. And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.
当时，约书亚转回夺了夏琐，用刀击杀夏琐王。素来夏琐在这诸国中是为首的。

7. And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The LORD be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words.
基列的长老回答耶弗他说，有耶和华在你我中间作见证，我们必定照你的话行。

8. Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.
于是雅比人对亚扪人说，明日我们出来归顺你们，你们可以随意待我们。

9. And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house?
有人告诉大卫说，乌利亚没有回家去。大卫就问乌利亚说，你从远路上来，为什么不回家去呢。

10. And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
耶和华曾吩咐他不可随从别神，他却没有遵守耶和华所吩咐的。

11. And to the captains over hundreds did the priest give king David's spears and shields, that were in the temple of the LORD.
祭司便将耶和华殿里所藏大卫王的枪和盾牌交给百夫长。

12. These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
以下记录跟随大卫勇士的首领，就是奋勇帮助他得国，照着耶和华吩咐以色列人的话，与以色列人一同立他作王的。

13. And Zorah, and Aijalon, and Hebron, which are in Judah and in Benjamin fenced cities.
琐拉，亚雅仑，希伯仑。这都是犹大和便雅悯的坚固城。

14. Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin.
祭司中有雅斤，又有约雅立的儿子耶大雅。

15. If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
他若经过，将人拘禁，招人受审，谁能阻挡他呢。

16. When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
义人享福合城喜乐。恶人灭亡，人都欢呼。

17. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
所以你当从心中除掉愁烦。从肉体克去邪恶。因为一生的开端，和幼年之时，都是虚空的。

18. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
到那日，耶西的根立作万民的大旗。外邦人必寻求他。他安息之所大有荣耀。

19. They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
他们转去效法他们的先祖，不肯听我的话，犯罪作孽，又随从别神，事奉它。以色列家和犹大家背了我与他们列祖所立的约。

20. Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
那将要来的我祖大卫之国，是应当称颂的。高高在上，和散那。

21. As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
既有基督的诚实在我里面，就无人能在亚该亚一带地方阻挡我这自夸。

22. Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
你们必倒在刀下。我必在以色列的境界审判你们，你们就知道我是耶和华。

23. But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.
北方王（原文作他）的二子必动干戈，招聚许多军兵。这军兵前去，如洪水泛滥，又必再去争战，直到南方王的保障。

24. They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
耶和华必如狮子吼叫，子民必跟随他。他一吼叫，他们就从西方急速而来。

25. And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.
我折断那称为荣美的杖，表明我废弃与万民所立的约。

26. For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
经上记着说，我要差遣我的使者在你面前，豫备道路。所说的就是这个人。

27. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
因为凡祈求的就得着。寻梢的就寻见。叩门的就给他开门。

28. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
若在黑夜走路，就必跌倒，因为他没有光。

29. And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.
这样一连三次，就都收回天上去了。

30. Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
愿他们的眼睛昏蒙，不得看见。愿你时常弯下他们的腰。

31. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
因此，女人为天使的缘故，应当在头上有服权柄的记号。

32. For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
因为他等候那座有根基的城，就是神所经营所建造的。

33. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
住在地上的人，就为他们欢喜快乐，互相馈送礼物。因这两位先知曾叫住在地上的人受痛苦。
