1. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
他们彼此商量说，来吧，我们要作砖，把砖烧透了。他们就拿砖当石头，又拿石漆当灰泥。

2. And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
耶和华叫百姓在埃及人眼前蒙恩，并且摩西在埃及地，法老臣仆，和百姓的眼中看为极大。

3. Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
凡蹄分两瓣，倒嚼的走兽，你们都可以吃。

4. And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.
那地方便叫作他备拉，因为耶和华的火烧在他们中间。

5. And his miracles, and his acts, which he did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
并他在埃及中向埃及王法老和其全地所行的神迹奇事。

6. And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
又去见东方和西方的迦南人，与山地的亚摩利人，赫人，比利洗人，耶布斯人，并黑门山根米斯巴地的希未人。

7. Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.
耶弗他就逃避他的弟兄，去住在陀伯地，有些匪徒到他那里聚集，与他一同出入。

8. And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days' respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee.
雅比的长老对他说，求你宽容我们七日，等我们打发人往以色列的全境去。若没有人救我们，我们就出来归顺你。

9. And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
大卫就差人打听那妇人是谁。有人说，她是以连的女儿，赫人乌利亚的妻拔示巴。

10. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
所罗门有妃七百，都是公主。还有嫔三百。这些妃嫔诱惑他的心。

11. And he was with her hid in the house of the LORD six years. And Athaliah did reign over the land.
约阿施和他的乳母藏在耶和华的殿里六年。亚他利雅篡了国位。

12. Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
于是以色列的长老都来到希伯仑见大卫王。大卫在希伯仑耶和华面前与他们立约，他们就膏大卫作以色列的王，是照耶和华藉撒母耳所说的话。

13. Speak unto Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,
你去告诉所罗门的儿子犹大王罗波安和住犹大，便雅悯的以色列众人说，

14. Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants.
以色列人，祭司，利未人，尼提宁，和所罗门仆人的后裔都住在犹大城邑，各在自己的地业中。本省的首领住在耶路撒冷的，记在下面。

15. Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
你夸大的话，岂能使人不作声吗ⅶ你戏笑的时候，岂没有人叫你害羞吗。

16. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
根基若毁坏，义人还能作什么呢。

17. The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
正直人的纯正，必引导自己。奸诈人的乖僻，必毁灭自己。

18. If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
云若满了雨，就必倾倒在地上。树若向南倒，或向北倒，树倒在何处，就存在何处。

19. And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
他必以敬畏耶和华为乐。行审判不凭眼见，断是非也不凭耳闻。

20. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
若有人对你们说，为什么作这事。你们就说，主要用他。那人必立时让你们牵来。

21. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
我只怕你们的心或偏于邪，失去那向基督所存纯一清洁的心，就像蛇用诡诈诱惑了夏娃一样。

22. And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
对他们说，耶和华以色列的神如此说，不听从这约之话的人必受咒诅。

23. Which say, It is not near; let us build houses: this city is the caldron, and we be the flesh.
他们说，盖房屋的时候尚未临近。这城是锅，我们是肉。

24. And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.
必有一个勇敢的王兴起，执掌大权，随意而行。

25. I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
我原教导以法莲行走，用膀臂抱着他们，他们却不知道是我医治他们。

26. There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.
听阿，有牧人哀号的声音，因他们荣华的草场毁坏了。有少壮狮子咆哮的声音，因约旦河旁的丛林荒废了。

27. And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
问他说，那将要来的是你吗，还是我们等候别人呢。

28. Give us day by day our daily bread.
我们日用的饮食，天天赐给我们。

29. Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
他姊妹两个就打发人去见耶稣说，主阿，你所爱的人病了。

30. Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
你进入未受割礼之人的家，和他们一同吃饭了。

31. Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
主阿，他们杀了你的先知，拆了你的祭坛，只剩下我一个人，他们还要寻索我的命。

32. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
我愿意你们知道，基督是各人的头。男人是女人的头，神是基督的头。

33. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
我们因着信，就知道诸世界是藉神话造成的。这样，所看见的，并不是从显然之物造出来的。

34. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
我要使我那两个见证人，穿着毛衣，传道一千二百六十天。
