1. And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:
希伯活到三十四岁，生了法勒。

2. And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
鸵鸟，夜鹰，鱼鹰，鹰与其类。

3. And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.
耶和华对摩西说，你从以色列的长老中招聚七十个人，就是你所知道作百姓的长老和官长的，到我这里来，领他们到会幕前，使他们和你一同站立。

4. Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
你们要谨慎，免得心中受迷惑，就偏离正路，去事奉敬拜别神。

5. So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
约书亚夺了那全地，就是山地，一带南地，歌珊全地，高原，亚拉巴，以色列的山地，和山下的高原。

6. But when Israel came up from Egypt, and walked through the wilderness unto the Red sea, and came to Kadesh;
以色列人从埃及上来乃是经过旷野到红海，来到加低斯，

7. And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.
约押围城的时候，知道敌人那里有勇士，便将乌利亚派在那里。

8. (For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom:)
约押和以色列众人在以东住了六个月，直到将以东的男丁尽都剪除。

9. And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the horses came into the king's house: and there was she slain.
众兵就闪开让她去。她从马路上王宫去，便在那里被杀。

10. And David was then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem.
那时大卫在山寨，非利士人的防营在伯利恒。

11. And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
以色列各支派中，凡立定心意寻求耶和华以色列神的，都随从利未人，来到耶路撒冷祭祀耶和华他们列祖的神。

12. And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.
又有利未人的族长，沙比太和约撒拔管理神殿的外事。

13. Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
你必忘记你的苦楚，就是想起也如流过去的水一样。

14. A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
恩德的妇女得尊荣。强暴的男子得赀财。

15. And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
为主剩馀的百姓，就是从亚述剩下回来的，必有一条大道，如当日以色列从埃及地上来一样。

16. The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
从前耶和华给你起名叫青橄榄树，又华美又结好果子。如今他用哄囔之声，点火在其上，枝子也被折断。

17. And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
也不许人拿着器具从殿里经过。

18. I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
我再说，人不可把我看作愚妄的。纵然如此，也要把我当作愚妄人接纳，叫我可以略略自夸。

19. Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
所以你当说，耶和华如此说，我虽将以色列全家远远迁移到列国中，将他们分散在列邦内，我还要在他们所到的列邦，暂作他们的圣所。

20. But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.
来攻击他的，必任意而行，无人在北方王（原文作他）面前删立得住。他必站在那荣美之地，用手施行毁灭。

21. For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
因我要在这地兴起一个牧人。他不看顾丧亡的，不寻梢分散的，不医治受伤的，也不牧养强壮的。却要吃肥羊的肉，撕裂它的蹄子。

22. But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
我可用什么比这世代呢。好像孩童坐在街市上，招呼同伴，说，

23. And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
又有人试探耶稣，向他求从天上来的神迹。

24. Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
多马，又称为低土马，就对那同作门徒的说，我们也去和他同死吧。

25. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
我就想起主的话说，约翰是用水施洗，但你们要受圣灵的洗。

26. For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
所献的新面，若是圣洁，全团也就圣洁了。树根若是圣洁，树枝也就圣洁了。

27. But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
若有人想要辩驳，我们却没有这样的规矩К神的众教会也是没有的。

28. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
他们却羡慕一个更美的家乡，就是在天上的。所以神被称为他们的神，并不以为耻。因为他已经给他们豫备了一座城。

29. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
在神面前，坐在自己位上的二十四位长老，就面伏于地敬拜神，
