1. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
他们说,来吧,我们要建造一座城和一座塔,塔顶通天,为要传扬我们的名,免得我们分散在全地上。

2. And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
摩西说,耶和华这样说,约到半夜,我必出去巡行埃及遍地。

3. Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
但那倒嚼或分蹄之中不可吃的乃是骆驼,因为倒嚼不分蹄,就与你们不洁净。

4. And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
他们中间的闲杂人大起贪欲的心。以色列人又哭号说,谁给我们肉吃呢,

5. And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them unto this day;
也没有看见他怎样待埃及的军兵,车马,他们追赶你们的时候,耶和华怎样使红海的水淹没他们,将他们灭绝,直到今日,

6. And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
这些王和他们的众军都出来,人数多如海边的沙,并有许多马匹车辆。

7. And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
过了些日子,亚扪人攻打以色列。

8. Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept.
使者到了扫罗住的基比亚,将这话说给百姓听,百姓就都放声而哭。

9. And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.
大卫差人去,将妇人接来。那时她的月经才得洁净。她来了,大卫与她同房,她就回家去了。

10. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
所罗门年老的时候,他的妃嫔诱惑他的心去随从别神,不效法他父亲大卫诚诚实实地顺服耶和华他的神。

11. And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of the LORD, and shewed them the king's son.
第七年,耶何耶大打发人叫迦利人(或作亲兵)和护卫兵的众百夫长来,领他们进了耶和华的殿,与他们立约,使他们在耶和华殿里起誓,又将王的儿子指给他们看,

12. And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
大卫和以色列众人到了耶路撒冷,就是耶布斯。那时耶布斯人住在那里。

13. Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against Jeroboam.
耶和华如此说,你们不可上去与你们的弟兄争战,各归各家去吧。因为这事出于我。众人就听从耶和华的话归回,不去与耶罗波安争战。

14. And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
其中有些犹大人和便雅悯人。犹大人中有法勒斯的子孙,乌西雅的儿子亚他雅。乌西雅是撒迦利雅的儿子。撒迦利雅是亚玛利雅的儿子。亚玛利雅是示法提雅的儿子。示法提雅是玛勒列的儿子。

15. For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
你说,我的道理纯全,我在你眼前洁净。

16. The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
耶和华在他的圣殿里,耶和华的宝座在天上。他的慧眼察看世人。

17. Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
发怒的日子,赀财无益。惟有公义能救人脱离死亡。

18. He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
看风的必不撒种。望云的必不收割。

19. But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
却要以公义审判贫穷人,以正直判断世上的谦卑人。以口中的杖击打世界。以嘴里的气杀戮恶人。

20. And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
他们去了,便看见一匹驴驹,拴在门外街道上,就把他解开。

21. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
假如有人来,另传一个耶稣,不是我们所传过的。或着你们另受一个灵,不是你们所受过的。或者另得一个福音,不是你们所得过的。你们容让他也就吧了。

22. Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
这约是我将你们列祖从埃及地领出来,脱离铁炉的那日所吩咐他们的,说,你们要听从我的话,照我一切所吩咐的去行。这样,你们就作我的子民,我也作你们的神。

23. Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.
人子阿,因此你当说预言,说预言攻击他们。

24. And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.
他兴起的时候,他的国必破裂,向天的四方(方原文作风)分开,却不归他的后裔,治国的权势也都不及他。因为他的国必被拔出,归与他后裔之外的人。

25. I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
我用慈绳(慈原文是人的)爱索牵引他们,我待他们如人放松牛的两腮夹板,把粮食放在他们面前。

26. Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;
耶和华我的神如此说,你撒迦利亚要牧养这将宰的群羊。

27. Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
耶稣回答说,你们去,把所听见所看见的事告诉约翰。

28. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
赦免我们的罪,因为我们也赦免凡亏欠我们的人。不叫我们遇见试探。救我们脱离凶恶。有古卷无末句

29. When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
耶稣听见就说,这病不至于死,乃是为神的荣耀,叫神的儿子因此得荣耀。

30. But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
彼得就开口,把这事挨次给他们讲解说,

31. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
神的回话是怎吗说的呢。他说,我为自己留下七千人,是未曾向巴力屈膝的。

32. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
凡男人祷告或是讲道(讲道或作说预言下同),若蒙着头,就是羞辱自己的头。

33. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
亚伯因着献祭与神,比该隐所献的更美,因此便得了称义的见证,就是神指他礼物作的见证。他虽然死了,却因这信仍旧说话。

34. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
他们就是那两棵橄榄树,两个灯台,立在世界之主面前的。
