1. Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
可见你们的祖宗所作的事，你们又证明又喜欢。因为他们杀了先知，你们修造先知的坟墓。

2. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
若这样由着他，人人都要信他。罗马人也要来夺我们的地土，和我们的百姓。
