1. And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
哈兰死在他的本地迦勒底的吾珥，在他父亲他拉之先。

2. And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.
拿其尸的，必不洁净到晚上，并要洗衣服。这些是与你们不洁净的。

3. And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
摩西的帮手，嫩的儿子约书亚，就是摩西所拣选的一个人，说，请我主摩西禁止他们。

4. And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
你们若不听从耶和华你们神的诫命，偏离我今日所吩咐你们的道，去事奉你们素来所不认识的别神，就必受祸。

5. Howbeit the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him.
但亚扪人的王不肯听耶弗他打发人说的话。

6. And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
耶罗波安是大有才能的人。所罗门见这少年人殷勤，就派他监管约瑟家的一切工程。

7. Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
提哥亚人益吉的儿子以拉，亚拿突人亚比以谢，

8. And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,
洗革拉，米哥拿，和属米哥拿的乡村。

9. He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
依仗自己财物的，必跌倒。义人必发旺如青叶。

10. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
除了这外面的事，还有为众教会挂心的事，天天压在我身上。

11. Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.
北方王（原文作他）必带许多财宝回往本国，他的心反对圣约，任意而行，回到本地。

12. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
凡劳苦担重担的人，可以到我这里来，我就使你们得安息。

13. And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
问他说，你仗着什么权柄作这些事，给你这权柄的是谁呢。

14. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
耶稣说，是却还不如听神之道而遵守的人有福。

15. And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
马大说了这话，就回去暗暗的叫他妹子，马利亚说，夫子来了，叫你。

16. And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
内中有一位，名叫亚迦布站起来，藉着圣灵，指明天下将有大饥荒。这事到革老丢年间果然有了。

17. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
就着福音说，他们为你们的缘故是仇敌。就着拣选说，他们为列祖的缘故是蒙爱的。

18. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
人应当自己省察，然后吃这饼，喝这杯。

19. Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
他因着信，就守逾越节，（守或作立）行洒血的礼，免得那灭长子的临近以色列人。
