1. From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.
就是从亚伯的血起，直到被杀在坛和殿中间撒迦利亚的血为止。我实在告诉你们，这都要问在这世代的人身上。

2. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
他这话不是出于自己，是因他本年作大祭司，所以预言耶稣将要替这一国死。
